Ending the Year With Thanksgiving
Scripture Reading:
“In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18
🕊️ MEDITATION
Thanksgiving is deeper than gratitude for good moments — it is faith that recognizes God in all moments.
Some prayers were answered this year.
Some were delayed.
Some came in ways you didn’t expect.
Yet in all things, God remained faithful.
Thanksgiving acknowledges that even when things didn’t turn out as planned, God was still present, still working, and still good.
When you end the year with thanksgiving, you close the door to bitterness and open the door to peace and more from God.
📌 THREE REASONS TO END THE YEAR WITH THANKSGIVING
- Thanksgiving Honors God Beyond Outcomes: God deserves thanks whether the season was easy or hard.
Scripture:
“Giving thanks always for all things unto God…” — Ephesians 5:20 - Thanksgiving Preserves Your Heart: Gratitude guards you against bitterness and pride.
Scripture:
“Be careful for nothing… with thanksgiving let your requests be made known.” — Philippians 4:6 - Thanksgiving Multiplies Blessings: Grateful hearts attract more grace.
Scripture:
“He took the five loaves… and gave thanks.” — John 6:11
