Rest in God’s Ability, Not Your History
Scripture Reading:
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” — Isaiah 43:18
🕊️ MEDITATION
Many people block restoration by constantly revisiting their past — past mistakes, missed opportunities, wrong choices, and painful memories.
God does not restore based on your history;
He restores based on His mercy and power.
Rest comes when you stop rehearsing what went wrong and start trusting what God can still do.
Your past explains where you have been — it does not determine where God is taking you. When you rest in God, regret loses its hold and hope rises again.
📌 THREE WAYS REST OPENS THE DOOR TO RESTORATION.
- Rest Releases You From Guilt
Condemnation fights faith; grace fuels restoration. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 8:1 - Rest Frees You From Regret
God’s future is not controlled by your yesterday. “Forgetting those things which are behind…” — Philippians 3:13 - Rest Positions You for New Things
God cannot restore what you refuse to release. “Behold, I will do a new thing…” — Isaiah 43:19
