Be Still and Discern His Voice
Be Still and Discern His Voice
Scripture Reading:
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” — John 10:27
🕊️ MEDITATION
One of the deepest dimensions of stillness is hearing God clearly.
Noise does not only come from the environment, it comes from the heart.
Worry, fear, pressure, complaints, and busyness all silence the voice of God.
When God says “Be still,” He is inviting you to tune your spirit to His frequency.
Stillness sharpens your spiritual hearing.
You begin to catch instructions, warnings, direction, and wisdom that were always there — but drowned by noise.
A still spirit becomes a receiving spirit.
📌 THREE WAYS STILLNESS OPENS YOU TO GOD’S VOICE
- Stillness Removes Distractions: You cannot hear clearly when your soul is crowded.
“Be still and know…” — Psalm 46:10
Stillness creates spiritual clarity.
- Stillness Positions You to Listen, Not Speak: You hear God more when you stop talking and start listening.
“Speak, LORD, for Your servant hears.” — 1 Samuel 3:10
Listening is an act of worship.
- Stillness Helps You Discern Between God’s Voice and Other Voices: The enemy whispers, the flesh shouts — but God speaks softly. “After the fire came a gentle whisper… and the LORD was there.” — 1 Kings 19:12
Stillness separates the divine from the distracting.
