HONOURING GOD WITH YOUR BODY

SERIES: PHYSICAL PREPARATION
Scripture Reading:
“Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you… therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19–20
️ MEDITATION:
Physical preparation is a spiritual responsibility. Your body is not separate from your calling., it is the vessel through which God’s purpose is carried out.
When the body is neglected, strength for assignment is weakened; when it is prepared, endurance and effectiveness increase.
Honouring God with your body involves rest, discipline, self-control, and healthy stewardship. Jesus Himself understood the need for physical renewal—He rested, withdrew to pray, and managed His strength wisely.
A prepared body supports a prepared spirit. God desires that you are strong, healthy, and sustained for the journey ahead.
 KEY TRUTHS ABOUT PHYSICAL PREPARATION:
1. Your Body Belongs to God: Stewardship begins with awareness.
Supporting Scripture:
“I beseech you therefore, brethren… present your bodies a living sacrifice.” — Romans 12:1
2. Strength Is Needed for Assignment: Physical health supports spiritual endurance.
Supporting Scripture:
“The LORD is my strength.” — Psalm 28:7
3. Rest Is Part of God’s Design: Renewal sustains productivity.
Supporting Scripture:
“He giveth his beloved sleep.” — Psalm 127:2
