 SCRIPTURE READING
“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” — Mark 4:39
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee.” — Isaiah 26:3
️ MEDITATION
Stillness is most powerful not when everything is calm—but when everything is chaotic.
The disciples were in a storm, surrounded by wind and waves, yet Jesus was asleep. Why?
Because He was not controlled by the storm—He was anchored in peace.
This is the mystery: you can be still even when life is not.
External storms do not have to create internal panic.
The power of stillness is the ability to remain calm, confident, and grounded in God even when circumstances are unstable.
When Jesus said, “Peace, be still,” He was not only speaking to the storm—He was demonstrating a spiritual reality: peace has authority over chaos.
God desires that same peace to rule in your heart.
Stillness in the storm is not denial—it is deep trust that God is in control.
When your mind is fixed on God, fear loses its grip, and peace takes over.
