 SCRIPTURE READING
“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” — Hebrews 5:14
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.” — James 4:8
️ MEDITATION
Hearing God’s voice is not only a gift—it is a skill that grows with intimacy and practice.
Sensitivity to God does not remain the same; it increases as you walk closely with Him, obey Him, and spend time in His presence. Spiritual hearing is trained, not accidental.
Consider Samuel. At first, he could not recognize God’s voice. But as he kept responding and receiving guidance, his sensitivity increased until he became one of the clearest prophetic voices in Israel.
 Scripture Guidance:
“And Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.” — 1 Samuel 3:19
Think about David. His sensitivity to God was developed in solitude while tending sheep. Worship, meditation, and dependence on God sharpened his ability to hear and respond to divine direction.
 Scripture Guidance:
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” — Psalm 23:1
Also, Elijah had to move from external noise to inner stillness to recognize God’s voice.
His sensitivity increased when he learned to quiet everything else.
 Scripture Guidance:
“And after the fire a still small voice.” — 1 Kings 19:12
This is the mystery: sensitivity grows when attention increases and distractions decrease.
The more you respond to God, the clearer His voice becomes. Spiritual dullness decreases as obedience, prayer, and the Word increase.
KINGDOM TRUTHS ABOUT GROWING IN SENSITIVITY

3. Obedience Sharpens Discernment: The more you obey, the easier it becomes to hear.
