 SCRIPTURE READING
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” — Jeremiah 29:11
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee.” — Jeremiah 1:5
️ MEDITATION
Many people use the words destiny and fate interchangeably, but they are not the same.
Destiny is God’s divine purpose and intended future for a person’s life. It is the reason you were created, the assignment God designed for you before you were born.
Before you entered the world, God already had a plan for your life. You are not an accident, a mistake, or a product of chance. Heaven knew you before earth received you.
Consider Jeremiah. Before he was born, God had already ordained him to be a prophet to the nations. His destiny existed before his birth.
 Scripture Guidance:
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee.” — Jeremiah 1:5
Think about Joseph. God revealed his destiny through dreams while he was still young. Although he faced betrayal, slavery, and imprisonment, those circumstances could not cancel God’s purpose for his life.
 Scripture Guidance:
“And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren.” — Genesis 37:5
Also, David was chosen by God while still a shepherd boy. Long before he sat on the throne, destiny had already marked him for leadership.
 Scripture Guidance:
“Arise, anoint him: for this is he.” — 1 Samuel 16:12
This is the mystery: destiny is discovered, not created.
You do not invent God’s purpose for your life; you discover it through relationship with Him, obedience to His voice, and faithful stewardship of what He places in your hands.
Your circumstances may change, but God’s purpose remains.
