 SCRIPTURE READING
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles…” — Isaiah 40:31
“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him.” — Psalm 37:7
“He that believeth shall not make haste.” — Isaiah 28:16
️ MEDITATION
One of the hidden mysteries of the eagle is its ability to wait. Eagles do not rush every wind or every movement. They understand timing.
They wait for the right wind currents before they soar with minimal effort and maximum strength.
In the same way, a spiritually minded believer must learn the discipline of divine timing.
Many people lose strength, make mistakes, or enter unnecessary struggles simply because they refuse to wait on God.
Waiting is not weakness—it is wisdom. Waiting is not delay—it is preparation. Waiting is not inactivity—it is strengthening in the unseen.
Consider David.
Though anointed as king, he spent years waiting before he ascended the throne. During that waiting season, God shaped his character in the wilderness, developed his dependence, and prepared him for leadership.
 Scripture Guidance:
“And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the Lord was with him.” — 1 Samuel 18:14
Consider Abraham. God promised him a son, but he waited many years before Isaac was born. In that waiting period, God refined his faith so that the promise would rest on divine power, not human ability.
 Scripture Guidance:
“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith.” — Romans 4:20
Also consider Jesus Christ. Before beginning His public ministry, He waited in obscurity for the appointed time. Even when tempted to act prematurely, He chose obedience to God’s timing.
 Scripture Guidance:
“Mine hour is not yet come.” — John 2:4
This is the mystery: Those who refuse to wait often waste strength. Those who wait in God gain strength.
The eagle does not fight the wind—it waits for it. Then it rises effortlessly.
When you rush ahead of God:
You become exhausted
You make avoidable mistakes
You enter unnecessary battles
But when you wait on God:
Your strength is renewed
Your direction becomes clear
Your peace remains steady
