“Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” — Colossians 3:2
️ MEDITATION
The eagle is not a bird that lives low. It is designed for heights. In the same way, God did not design the believer to live a low, defeated, or ordinary life. There is a “higher life” in Christ—one of spiritual awareness, strength, vision, and divine direction.
Many believers live like ground birds—easily distracted, easily defeated, and limited by earthly struggles. But God calls His people to rise above circumstances through faith, prayer, and obedience.
The phrase “mount up” suggests rising above limitations. It is not automatic—it is intentional waiting on God, trusting Him, and drawing strength from Him.
Consider Jesus Christ. Though He walked on earth, He lived from heaven’s perspective. He constantly withdrew to pray, showing that true strength comes from fellowship with the Father.

Am I living spiritually “low” or rising in God’s perspective?
What is pulling my focus away from spiritual heights?
How can I intentionally wait on God today?
 PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me to a higher life in You.
Lift my mind above fear, distraction, and limitation. Renew my strength as I wait on You.
Help me to see life from Your perspective and to walk in spiritual victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
 DECLARATIONS
I am rising above limitations.
My strength is renewed in God.
I will live the higher life in Christ.
I mount up with wings like an eagle.
I refuse a low-level spiritual life.
 ACTION POINT FOR TODAY
Spend at least 10–15 minutes in quiet reflection today, focusing your thoughts on God’s promises rather than your problems.
 SPECIAL INSIGHT
The eagle does not fight everything it sees—it rises above it.
In the same way, spiritual maturity is not always fighting battles—
it is learning how to rise above them in God’s presence.
