 SCRIPTURE READING
“Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” — Colossians 3:2
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” — Matthew 6:33
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” — 2 Corinthians 4:18
️ MEDITATION
One of the greatest dangers in life is becoming so occupied with temporary things that we forget eternal realities. God has given us this life not merely to exist, accumulate possessions, or pursue personal success, but to prepare for eternity.
The truth is that everything on earth is temporary. Wealth can disappear. Positions can change. Beauty fades. Fame is short-lived. Even life itself is like a vapor. But God’s Kingdom and every soul will exist forever.
This does not mean we should neglect our responsibilities on earth. Rather, we are to carry them out with an eternal perspective. Our careers, businesses, education, relationships, and resources should all be used to glorify God and advance His Kingdom.
Many people are busy making a living but forget to prepare for eternity. They feed their bodies but neglect their souls. They build earthly treasures but invest little in heavenly rewards.
Consider The Rich Fool. He stored up great wealth and believed his future was secure. Yet he never prepared his soul for God. That very night his life ended, and all he had accumulated was left behind.
 Scripture Guidance:
“This night thy soul shall be required of thee.” — Luke 12:20
Consider Moses. Rather than enjoying the temporary pleasures of Egypt, he chose to identify with God’s people because he valued eternal reward more than earthly comfort.
 Scripture Guidance:
“For he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.” — Hebrews 11:26
Above all, consider Jesus Christ. Every decision He made was governed by the Father’s eternal purpose. He willingly endured the cross because He looked beyond present suffering to the eternal joy of fulfilling God’s plan of salvation.
 Scripture Guidance:
“Who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross.” — Hebrews 12:2
This is the mystery:
People who live only for today eventually lose tomorrow. People who live for eternity make today’s life count.
Every prayer, Every act of obedience, Every soul won, Every sacrifice for Christ, Every act of love, is an investment in eternity.
When eternity becomes your focus, earthly possessions become tools—not your treasure.
 KINGDOM TRUTHS

What occupies most of my thoughts—earthly success or eternal purpose?
Am I investing in things that will matter when I stand before God?
If Jesus returned today, would I be living differently?
 PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that this world is not my permanent home. Help me to live every day with eternity in view. Keep my heart from becoming attached to temporary things, and teach me to seek first Your Kingdom.
Let my life bring glory to You and produce fruit that will last forever. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
