SERIES: START FROM WHERE YOU ARE
📖 SCRIPTURE READING
“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much…” — Luke 16:10
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things…” — Matthew 25:21
🕊️ MEDITATION
Many people are asking God for more, while God is watching how they handle what they already have. “Lord, give me a bigger business.” “Give me a bigger ministry.” “Give me more money.” “Give me greater influence.” “Give me more opportunities.” But sometimes the question God asks is: “What are you doing with what I have already given you?”
We often think our breakthrough will begin when we receive something bigger. But God’s principle is different: Faithfulness with little prepares you for greater responsibility. The little you have today is not meaningless. It is an opportunity to demonstrate your character, discipline, wisdom, and faithfulness.
Consider David.
Before David received a throne, he received sheep. Before he led a nation, he learned to lead a flock. Before he fought Goliath, he protected his father’s sheep from lions and bears.
What looked like a small responsibility became preparation for a much greater assignment.
David did not say: “This is only sheep. It doesn’t matter.” He was faithful.
📖 Scripture Guidance:
“Thy servant kept his father’s sheep…” — 1 Samuel 17:34
Consider the servants in Jesus’ Parable of the Talents.
The servants who faithfully used what they received were entrusted with more. The principle was not about how much each person received.
It was about what they did with it.
📖 Scripture Guidance:
“Thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things.” — Matthew 25:21
God does not compare your assignment with another person’s assignment.
He looks at your faithfulness.
This is the mystery:
Your present responsibility is training for your future responsibility. If you cannot manage a small amount, more money may create greater problems. If you cannot manage one responsibility, more responsibilities may overwhelm you. If you cannot keep a small commitment, a bigger commitment may expose the same weakness. If you cannot serve faithfully when nobody sees you, public influence may become dangerous. Therefore, do not despise your current level, Master it.
