📖 SCRIPTURE READING
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.” — 1 Peter 5:6
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to
every purpose under the heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
🕊️ MEDITATION
One of the greatest mistakes people make is desiring the platform without embracing the preparation.
God is a God of purpose, but He is also a God of process. Before He entrusts a person with a great assignment, He develops the character, wisdom, faith, and maturity needed to sustain it.
Many people pray for promotion, yet God first prepares them for the responsibility that comes with promotion.
Consider Joseph. Before becoming governor of Egypt, he learned faithfulness as a servant and integrity as a prisoner. The palace was his destination, but the prison was part of his preparation.
📖 Scripture Guidance:
“Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him.” — Psalm 105:19
Think about David. Before he ruled a nation, he learned responsibility by caring for sheep. He fought lions and bears in private before confronting Goliath in public.
📖 Scripture Guidance:
“Thy servant kept his father’s sheep.” — 1 Samuel 17:34
Also, consider Jesus Christ. Though He was the Son of God, He spent years growing in wisdom and favor before beginning His public ministry.
📖 Scripture Guidance:
“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” — Luke 2:52
This is the mystery: God prepares in secret what He intends to reveal in public.
The hidden seasons are not wasted seasons. The waiting room is often God’s training room.
Your current season may feel slow, unnoticed, or insignificant, but God is building qualities within you that will be necessary for the next level of your assignment.
Preparation protects purpose.
Without preparation, success can become destructive. With preparation, success becomes sustainable.
📌 KINGDOM TRUTHS ABOUT PREPARATION
1. God Values Character More Than Position
Who you become is more important than where you go.
📖 “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches.” — Proverbs 22:1
2. Hidden Seasons Are Training Seasons
God often works privately before promoting publicly.
📖 “Humble yourselves… that he may exalt you in due time.” — 1 Peter 5:6
3. Preparation Determines Capacity
The greater the assignment, the greater the preparation.
📖 “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
