 SCRIPTURE READING
“Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid… for the Lord thy God is with thee.” — Joshua 1:9
“What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.” — Psalm 56:3
“The righteous are bold as a lion.” — Proverbs 28:1
️ MEDITATION
One of the defining characteristics of a lion is courage. A lion does not retreat because of size or intimidation. It faces challenges with confidence rooted in its nature.
In the same way, God is raising believers who will not bow to fear, intimidation, or pressure. Courage is not the absence of fear—it is the decision to trust God in spite of fear.
Many destinies are delayed not because of lack of opportunity, but because of fear of stepping forward. Giants may appear in different forms:
financial pressure, spiritual battles, career limitations, family challenges, or personal insecurities.
But a spiritually minded believer does not focus on the size of the giant—they focus on the greatness of God.
Consider David. When he faced Goliath, he did not rely on armor or human strength. Instead, he relied on the name of the Lord. While others saw an undefeatable giant, David saw an opportunity for God’s power to be revealed.
 Scripture Guidance:
“Thou comest to me with a sword… but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts.” — 1 Samuel 17:45
Consider Joshua. When he was called to lead Israel into the Promised Land, he faced nations stronger and larger than them. Yet God repeatedly commanded him to be strong and courageous, reminding him that divine presence guarantees victory.
 Scripture Guidance:
“Only be thou strong and very courageous…” — Joshua 1:7
Also consider Esther. She risked her life by approaching the king uninvited. Her courage was not based on certainty of outcome, but on trust in God’s purpose for her life.
 Scripture Guidance:
“If I perish, I perish.” — Esther 4:16
This is the mystery: Fear magnifies the problem, but courage magnifies God.
The lion does not measure the strength of its opponent—it acts from confidence in its identity.
Likewise, believers must stop measuring their limitations and start trusting God’s limitless power.
When courage rises:
fear loses authority
faith becomes action
doors begin to open
destiny begins to move
