 SCRIPTURE READING
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” — John 15:5
“Abide in me, and I in you.” — John 15:4
️ MEDITATION
Knowing the Source is important, but remaining connected to the Source is the secret of continuous life, strength, and fruitfulness.
A branch may look healthy for a short time after being cut off from a tree, but eventually it dries up because it is disconnected from its source of nourishment. In the same way, a believer cannot thrive spiritually apart from God.
Consider Adam. Adam enjoyed direct fellowship with God in the Garden of Eden. However, when sin entered, that connection was broken, and the consequences affected all of humanity.
 Scripture Guidance:
“And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day.” — Genesis 3:8
Think about Mary. Her strength was not in her ability but in her connection to God.
Because she remained surrendered to Him, she became a vessel for God’s purpose.
 Scripture Guidance:
“Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.” — Luke 1:38
Also, Jesus Christ demonstrated the importance of abiding in the Father. Though He was the Son of God, He consistently prayed, sought the Father, and lived in complete dependence upon Him.
 Scripture Guidance:
“The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do.” — John 5:19
This is the mystery: connection determines supply.
Your spiritual strength, wisdom, peace, and fruitfulness flow from your relationship with God.
The moment connection weakens, spiritual vitality begins to decline.
Prayer, worship, obedience, and the Word of God keep you connected to the Source.
